INTERN WITH US

goals of your internship

We hope to provide students with an in-depth view of the financial planning industry. Our anticipation is that you should leave this program with enough information to direct your career path.

what you get

After completing FINRA required background checks and fingerprinting, you’re on-boarded with an Intern Orientation to give you baseline knowledge of our Client Relationship Management system and financial planning software. You will be responsible for thorough note-taking during client planning calls, review calls and meetings, as well as the follow-up with the client. You will have exposure to a wide variety of client situations, life stages, and unique dilemmas. We will groom your professional e-mail skills, thoroughly rip apart your resume, and help you put it back together, and provide you with a professional headshot. Along the way, you’ll be invited to firm social activities and outings, and we will extend our networks to you as needed and as earned. We don’t expect you to stay with us after graduation, but we do hope we can train you and have you with us for a few semesters. The first semester is unpaid, the following semesters are paid. Summer interns are 30 hours a week, paid, and eligible for Finance major course credit if you have completed FIN 3000.

what we expect

We coordinate our interns to work 4-6 hours a week scheduled around your class times. We are flexible when you want to travel or have big exams, but we need a heads up. While we don’t depend on your work to survive, we do count on you to help with our caseload. We also expect you to abide by our compliance requirements and maintain utmost confidentiality regarding all clients.

Got what it takes?
